About Us
Our Mission
To cultivate a community rooted in the Qur’an and Sunnah, united in worship, learning, and service for the sake of Allah.
Our History
Masjid Al Emaan traces its roots to the 1980s, when it was founded as the Stockton Student Mosque by Muslim students in Stockton who sought to establish a place to gather, worship Allah, and learn their faith. What began as a small community effort has, by the grace of Allah, grown into a thriving Islamic center serving individuals and families of all ages.
Today, Masjid Al Emaan remains committed to its original purpose—providing a welcoming home for worship, authentic Islamic education, community service, and spiritual growth, firmly rooted in the Qur’an and the Sunnah.
Our Imams
The imams of Masjid Al Emaan lead the daily prayers, teach the Qur'an and Sunnah, and guide our community with knowledge and care. Select an imam to learn more.
By-Laws
The bylaws of Masjid Al Emaan establish the framework for the governance, leadership, and operation of our masjid. Rooted in the Qur’an and the authentic Sunnah upon the understanding of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamā’ah, they define our mission, organizational structure, financial stewardship, and commitment to transparency, accountability, and service. The bylaws exist to ensure that every decision is made with integrity, consultation (shūrā), and the best interests of our community in mind.
These governing principles help preserve the vision upon which Masjid Al Emaan was founded while providing clear guidance for leadership, committees, programs, and future growth. They reflect our ongoing commitment to fostering a welcoming, united, and faith-centered community dedicated to worship, Islamic education, outreach, and service for the sake of Allah. Community members are encouraged to review the bylaws to better understand the values and principles that guide our masjid.
Policies
Masjid Al Emaan is committed to maintaining a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment for all who enter the House of Allah. Our policies are designed to uphold Islamic values, ensure the smooth operation of the masjid, protect our facilities, and promote a positive experience for worshippers, students, volunteers, and visitors alike.
These policies provide guidance on the use of our facilities, participation in programs, volunteer expectations, child safety, privacy, event reservations, and community conduct. By following these guidelines, we work together to preserve the sanctity of the masjid and foster a community built upon mutual respect, compassion, and adherence to the Qur’an and the Sunnah.

Expansion Project
Building for Future Generations
Overview
Masjid Al Emaan’s expansion project represents an investment in the future of our community and generations to come. As our congregation continues to grow, so does the need for additional prayer space, classrooms, youth facilities, and areas dedicated to education, community programs, and family services. This project will transform our campus into a comprehensive Islamic center that better serves the spiritual, educational, and social needs of the Muslim community. This page provides an overview of the project’s scope, timeline, estimated costs, fundraising progress, and opportunities to be part of this lasting ṣadaqah jāriyah.
Vision & Plans
Our vision is to build more than a larger masjid; we aspire to create a vibrant Islamic campus where worship, knowledge, family, and community come together. The expansion is centered around a grand two-story prayer hall that will serve as the heart of the campus, complemented by a dedicated women’s building with its own dining hall and gathering spaces. The project also includes an auditorium, Islamic library, modern classrooms, multipurpose halls, and administrative offices to support the educational and community needs of future generations.
Designed with every member of the community in mind, the campus will also feature a gymnasium, workout and fitness rooms, game and recreation rooms, and a beautiful open courtyard that provides a welcoming space for fellowship, family events, and community gatherings. Every aspect of the project has been thoughtfully planned to create a lasting center of worship, learning, and service—one that inspires faith, strengthens families, and serves the Muslim community for generations to come, in shā’ Allāh.
Progress Updates
This page will keep our community informed throughout every phase of the expansion project. Here you’ll find the latest construction updates, fundraising milestones, project photos, engineering and permitting progress, and upcoming opportunities to support the effort. We believe transparency is essential, and we invite our community to follow the journey as we work together to build a lasting legacy for future generations, in shā’ Allāh.
